THE WRITER

Writing has always been a hobby for me. I loved writing stories and imagining worlds, but it wasn't until I became suddenly unemployed that I had the chance to write full time.

I have always loved fantasy since reading the Earthsea trilogy by Ursula Le Guin as a young girl, and I devoured everything I could find. Even when immersed in magic and dragons, I dreamt of creating my own heroes and writing my own tales. It still feels surreal that I am living that dream today.

When not writing, I enjoy playing with my camera, cryptic crosswords, watching films and, of course, reading.

A Fete Worse Than Death

It’s time for the Myrtleberry Dell Village Fete, and local Hedge Witch Maisie Lemmon has somehow talked poor Wilfred H Pepper into judging the vegetable show. Between the prize marrows and perfect pumpkins, it all promises to be a day of harmless fun. What could possibly go wrong?

Quite a lot, as it turns out. When one of the villagers turns up dead among the displays, murder takes centre stage. Now Maisie and Wilfred must swap bunting for sleuthing as they untangle secrets and lies to catch the killer before they strike again.

Charm, chuckles, and a touch of magic abound in this delightful cosy mystery, perfect for fans of tea-fuelled investigations and small villages with big secrets.
